Q: What are your cabinets made of?
A: Our cabinet doors & faceframes are made of solid oak or maple. The cabinet boxes are made from a pre finished 1/2 Birch natural. Our cabinets come fully assembled. Drawer boxes are also made of 1/2 birch natural.
Q: How do I give you my door sizes?
A: On each door section you will see a white box. Please enter width first then height. If you have special instructions, you can list them at checkout. Please, only give door size.
Q: FINISH- Do you finish (stain or lacquer) your doors or cabinets?
A: Yes. We will finish the cabinets or doors and drawer fronts we offer. If you require a finish other than our standard... you will need to call for additional cost.
Please use a color chart from "STAIN & LACQUER" page.
Q: SANDING-Do you sand the doors, drawer fronts & drawer boxes?
A: Yes, we sand all manufactured product to 150 grit. However we suggest that you finish sand to 220 grit once you get your product.
Q: MEASURING- How do I measure for my new doors?
A: The best way to measure for your new doors is take the measurements from your old doors. However if you do not have them, do the following:? Cabinets with a face frame you will measure the opening and add one inch. If you have two doors for one opening add 7/8 inch to the width only and divide in half. You will still need to add the one inch to the height. For cabinets without a face frame you will measure the outside of the cabinet and deduct 1/4. If you have two doors for that cabinet measure the cabinet minus 1/4 and divide in half.
Q: THICKNESS- How thick are your doors?
A: Our wood doors are 13/16 thick. Our MDF doors and fronts are 3/4. Our 10-P series are 5/8 thick
Q: STILE & RAIL- How wide are your styles & rails?
A: Our style & rails are 2 1/4 wide. 5 peice fronts rail is 1 1/4
Q: SIZE-What is the smallest door you make?
A: The smallest door we make is 7" wide and 7" tall.
Q: LUMBER-What is the lumber grade you use?
A: We use select lumber on our doors unless you order a paint grade product. We use our non select lumber with color imporfections for that product.
Q: CENTER PANELS-How thick is your center panels?
A: Our center panel is 5/8 thick on raised panel and 1/4 on recessed panels.
Q: OVER SIZE- Can I order doors over 14" wide X 26" high?
A: Yes, Just select the pull down window and it will price them acordingly.
Q: RUSH ORDERS-Do you offer rush orders?
A: Yes. We offer rush orders at a rate of 40% of your original price. This is to cover overtime employee cost. You will need to request this at checkout. Your Ameradoor represenative will call and confirm price and ship date.
Q: LEAD TIMES-How long does it take to make the doors?
A: Our production time is about 10 to 15 working days, 30 days on cabinets. However this may change from time do to holidays and or peak seasons.
Q: HINGE DRILLING-Do you drill for concealed hinges?
A: Yes. We have a standard position for drilling concealed hinges (4" from top and bottom). If you have a specific position for your hinges, please send us your information. Additional fees may apply. For left or right hinges.. With the door closed, what side is the hinges on? Mark this in the pull down box on the door page.
Q: WHOLESALE PRICES- Do you offer discounts for cabinet companies or contractors?
A: Yes. If you are a returning customer that qualifies for a resale account you can apply for the discount.
Q: STATUS-How can I view the status of my order?
Q: SHIPPING-What are your shipping costs?
A: You can view an estimate of shipping costs by viewing your cart. However, final shipping costs will be displayed on the Invoice you see before confirming your order.
Cabinet Questions
Q: What kind of materials are my cabinets made of?
A: Your cabinet box is made of half inch pre-finished Baltic Birch plywood (100% wood). The face frame is made of solid oak or maple. The drawer boxes are made of half inch Baltic Birch.
Q: Face frame.
A: Our face frames are made solid oak or maple with the castle system, glued and screwed for a lifetime guarantee. Your face frames will be made of 1 1/2 inch wide stock and ¾ thick.
Q: Assembly: Do I need to put them together when they arrive?
A: No. Your cabinets come fully assembled, pre-sanded ready to install if you have ordered "finish" The only thing you will need to do is install your handles or pulls.
Q: Finish. Will my cabinets come pre finished?
A: Your cabinets come unfinished or you can choose one of four basic colors. If you would like a custom color, please speak to our representative for more information.
Q: Delivery: How will my cabinets arrive?
A: Your cabinets will arrive most likely on a palate. If they are small we will ship them via UPS or FedEx
Q: Lead time. How long will it take to get my cabinets?
A: Our lead time is about 30 days to make your cabinets. However it may change from time to time due to demand.
Q: Fillers. Do you provide fill pieces?
A: With any order over $100.00 we will at no charge send along fillers for your convenience.
Q: Measuring. What do I need to know about measuring for cabinets?
A: Measure your area at more than one height. Your walls could be out of square. Leave enough room for your appliances. Do not try to make the fit tight at the ends. It is better to use a filler piece than to re-make a cabinet.
Q: Installation. What do I need for installation?
A: You will need the following tools. Screw gun, Level, Pencil and one helper. If you are going to install moulding. You will need Hammer, finish nails or a finish nail gun.
